Mozzarella Marinated in Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar
| February 5, 2012 | Posted by Good Eats Cafe under Appetizers |
Here is a quick and easy recipe for marinaded mozzarella. This works well as appetizer or can used in a salad. The recipe calls for mozzarella balls, but if you cannot find them at a store, you can also buy some fresh mozzarella and cube it. The mozzarella is then tossed in balsamic vinegar and olive oil. The addition of basil and oregano increase the flavor to make a delicious snack.
Prep time: 5 Minutes
Ready in: 5 Minutes
Ingredients:
8 oz Mozzarella balls or cubed
½ Cup of Olive Oil
3 Tablespoons balsamic Vinegar
1 Tablespoon chopped fresh basil
1 Tablespoon chopped fresh oregano
1 Clove minced garlic
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Preparation Method:
- Finely chop fresh basil and oregano and save for later.
- Place Mozzarella balls in a large bowl. If you only have a large piece of mozzarella, cut it into half inch cubes.
- Spoon balsamic vinegar over the mozzarella.
- Add the basil, oregano, garlic, salt and pepper and toss to evenly distribute ingredients.
- Add olive oil and mix.
- Serve.

Another catalyst is some cfefoe, adding a little more bitter to the sweet, and richness to the flavor.A good source for inexpensive Balsamic is Costco. Gotta try this recipe. As usual, it sounds fabulous. You have to understand that Dave’s family was raised on hand dipped dark chocolate. Their dad sold boxes to small candy makers and often came home with culls, not quite pretty enough for prime time, but the same ingredients. Melts in your hand, your mouth, your car on the way home (if it ever gets there), everywhere. More rich brown drool than a dip of tobacco.
